Dawson & Associates, Ocean Independence and Sunreef Yachts

Late last year our associate, Troy Stade, attended an event hosted by Ocean Independence and Rolls-Royce Auckland to celebrate Ocean Independence’s strategic partnership with Sunreef Yachts.

A great night showcasing the luxury and quality of Sunreef yachts, it was a good opportunity to meet existing partners and clients, and to speak with people about the legal considerations that go into vessel ownership and operation. By way of example, some of these include ownership structuring, choices of flag and registration, class and survey requirements, and vessel crewing and operations.

Dawson & Associates works closely with Ocean Independence on many yachting matters in New Zealand and internationally, and significant experience in working with Sunreef Yachts. Last year Troy went to Gdansk, Poland, to visit Sunreef Yachts’ shipyard and met with many of the key people who help delivery clients’ vessels and support them through the build process.

Through these relationships, Dawson & Associates has enormous experience guiding clients and representing their interests throughout their yacht ownership journey, be it from the initial contract negotiations to delivery and registration, ongoing operation and management, and then to eventually onselling the vessel when the time is right.
