Thank you for the hospitality, Sunreef Yachts
Earlier this month our associate, Troy Stade, had the opportunity to visit Sunreef Yachts in Gdańsk, Poland, where a client is currently having a vessel built.
Sunreef have an impressive facility in Poland, with two separate yards in the city and a separate facility recently opened in Dubai, and are seeing significant growth in new-build yacht enquiries across their range.
Beyond advocating for the client’s interests while meeting Sunreef, Troy was able to tour the facility and saw firsthand Sunreef’s commitment to quality builds, rigorous attention to detail and process, outstanding attention to health and safety, and a dedication to customer focussed success.
Sunreef has recently signed a strategic partnership with Ocean Independence New Zealand, a partner of Dawson & Associates, and we look forward to New Zealand clients having greater access to the Sunreef range when considering options for new-build yachts.
Troy spoke with Sunreef’s sales director while on his visit about the importance of comprehensive project scoping prior to signing a build contract, in order to fully understand the client’s needs for the vessel and to ensure the process and end result will reflect this. In doing so, important considerations such as flag and class requirements, delivery windows, ownership structures, and more, can be properly assessed and reflected in the contract before it is signed, assuring a far smoother process than might otherwise be the case.
This emphasises the importance of seeking expert advice early on in the process; doing so can save time, cost, and significant headaches further down the line.
Dawson & Associates are experts in, and regularly advise clients, on ship build contracts, vessel ownership and registration matters, and are highly familiar with Sunreef and other yachtmakers.
