MV YWAM PNG
The MV YWAM PNG (now flagged in Papua New Guinea) is a repurposed small cruiser liner built in 1999 by Austal. The vessel was refitted into a training and medical ship, equipped with a dental clinic, day procedure unit, laboratory, four patrol tenders, and accommodation for 130 volunteers. The vessel is registered as a health facility in Papua New Guinea, acting as a mother ship to support multiple teams working ashore simultaneously.
The YWAM PNG has just been refloated after a significant refit at Austal’s Philippines yard. Dawson & Associates were pleased to assist the owners (on a pro bono basis) in negotiating the refit agreement with Austal and advising them through the refit process.
We wish the vessel and her crew all the best for their next outreach in Papua New Guinea, due to commence in early November.
